A Good Diet can help Prevent Diabetes


Experts say excess fat around the midsection, including the kidneys and liver, is a key risk factor for pre-diabetes and diabetes, but a nutrition expert can provide a specialized diet and exercise plan to control glucose and prevent or even reverse diabetes.

So-called visceral fat also can lead to inflammation, which registered dietitian Kerri Louati says can cause heart disease and stroke.
